Welcome to Helping Hands for Hounds, where our passion for dogs led to the creation of a unique dog treat business. It all began with Bosco, a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel X Dachshund, who entered my life as a foster dog. Bosco's early experiences were heartbreaking – attacked as a puppy, confined in a cage, and muzzled 24/7 while subjected to torment by children.

 

His traumatic past left Bosco with reactivity, trust issues, and anxiety. Despite fostering over 20 dogs before him, none presented challenges like Bosco. He touched my heart, and I quickly became a foster failure, adopting him within weeks.

 

To address Bosco's behavioral issues, I consulted with a dog behaviorist and discovered the power of enrichment. Daily routines involving LickiMat, stuffed Kongs, DIY enrichment games, and long-lasting treats transformed Bosco's life.
